If a man said, "You are the second most beautiful girl in the world," you might not think that such a compliment.
You might knee him in the groin and tell him all the things he's second best at... and you certainly would wonder for the rest of your life: Who is the most beautiful girl in the world?

I stood on this street in St. Augustine, Florida and heard the tour guide tell everyone to look down the road and know that they were at this moment- on the second most beautiful street in the world.
Really?
Who gets to make such a bold statement?

I have been on at least twenty more beautiful streets, and none of them had tour guides, or modular homes, or trash bins at the curb.

@Amigos da Rua Gonçalo: who the hell decided this Porto Alegre street is the most beautiful street in the world? Probably an internet poll where the criteria was not really beauty, but BAIRRISMO and NATIONALISM.

I bet that the only reason this street from Porto Alegre won was because you guys organized people to vote for the street.

"A green tunnel, formed by the crowns of more then 100 trees of the tipuana species, is the main attraction of Gonçalo de Carvalho street, at the south side of Porto Alegre, which recently gained the nick name of the “most beautiful in the world”. The status was given by a Portuguese biologist who, amazed by the pictures on the internet, wrote an excited post regarding the place. Now, with almost 500 wooded meters, it is the newest tourist point in the city. "
this is because this street is the most beautiful street in the world
