This is embarrassing. Look at the scuffed leather, the muddy heel, the way I have shoved these BORNs into their box.
This is not the work of a woman who itches when she sees a messy room, who used to live for the moment her son would dump his legos on the floor so she could put him down for a nap and spend forty minutes sorting and storing all those little pieces into their proper places in the plastic labeled bins--A woman who cannot leave her house without making all the beds and wiping down the bare kitchen counters.
No, this is the shoe of the woman who wants to play hooky from commitments and propriety for a few hours, a woman who wants to get scruffy.
