Nov 29: 30 days of shoes- Going for The Big Girl Look

The kitten heel, the sophisticated navy color, the teeny tiny buckle, the fancy box. It all says GROWN UP. Doesn't it?
Bah.
Squint your eyes and you can see retro punk. These are just like the shoes I bought at a thrift shop in Baldwinsville, New York and wore to a Sex Pistols show with my sister in 1984, where the band trashed their instruments, a stranger put his hand under my skirt and there was mud wrestling afterward, or maybe that was another night- with my dad.

Baldwinsville?! Sistah - we gotta talk. Between Rochester and Syracuse is my (former) neck o' the woods. B'ville, huh? Were you lost? Oh wait - drunk. *That* explains it. LOL!

I would totally party with you in any of these shoes... *grin*

Heck, yeah we gotta talk- ( grew up in Bville, college in Rochester, barhopping and dancing in Syracuse-- head back once a year- sisters still there)--especially after I read your SA post-- my hubby is very hip on them-- me, not so much, though as a business they are pretty savvy-- but wait-- aren't they supposed to be church?
Last few Christmases I've been giving pigs and chickens and rabbits to families via Heifer Intl. in the names of my kids teachers... *most* teachers loved the idea. Screw the rest of them.

I used to hang out in those parts too... many moons ago I was stationed at Ft. Drum, NY. Choices for entertainment were either voyage south towards Syracuse or head north into Canada to Kingston.

John- how did I not know this about you? Canada trips at midnight were the best- as the bars stayed open until 4 am and they served BRADOR!
